Quintet Concerto with the Eastman Wind Ensemble Wed, 4/13

April 8, 2011 By T. J.

If anyone is in upstate New York, come check out the New York premiere (and I think 3rd performance) of Dodecafecta by James Stephenson next Wednesday, April 13 at 8 PM in the Eastman Theater. It’s free and open to the public. The Wind Ensemble will also be playing Maslanka’s 2nd Symphony on the program. Don’t worry, Dodecafecta is not a twelve tone work, but is referring to the original consortium of 12 brass quintets that commissioned the piece!

Here are links to the parties involved:

The Composer
The Emerald Brass
The Eastman Wind Ensemble

Come on out and see the newly renovated “Kodak Hall at Eastman Theater”
